Why it exists

Built by a band director, not a software company.

Johnathan Cline has taught band for eighteen years. He built CaesuraLab because his students needed it, and he teaches with it daily. When something does not hold up in a real classroom, it gets fixed that week.

Made for the way students actually practice.

Open it, use it, put it down. No login, no setup, no ad in the middle of a warm-up.

  • Look up any fingering without the chart in the back of the book.
  • Tune before rehearsal with a tuner that already knows your transposition.
  • Hear a rhythm you cannot read yet, counted the way you were taught.
  • Quiz yourself on notes, intervals, and keys until they stop being slow.

Fingering charts

Fifteen instruments. Every fingering.

Flute through tuba, including bass clarinet, all four saxes, and mallet percussion. Tap a note, see the fingering, hear the pitch.
